HEALTH & GUARANTEE

At Big Smoke Giant Maine Coons, the health and well-being of our kittens are our highest priorities. We are committed to providing healthy, well-socialized Maine Coon kittens and stand behind the quality of our breeding program.

Within 14 days of receiving your kitten, you must have your kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian.

If, within 14 days of purchase and delivery, a licensed veterinarian determines that your kitten is clinically ill or has died from an illness or injury that was likely present prior to the date of sale, you may choose one of the following options:

• Return the kitten for a full refund of the purchase price.
• Return the kitten and receive a replacement kitten of equal value (subject to availability).
• Retain the kitten and receive reimbursement for reasonable veterinary expenses, not exceeding the original purchase price.

Please note that these options do not apply if a health condition was disclosed in writing at the time of sale and documented on a veterinarian-issued health certificate provided before purchase.

If, within 30 days of purchase, a licensed veterinarian determines that your kitten has a congenital or hereditary condition that adversely affects its health, or if the kitten passes away as a result of such a condition, you will be entitled to the same options listed above:

• Full refund upon return of the kitten.
• Replacement kitten of equal value.
• Reimbursement of reasonable veterinary expenses, not exceeding the purchase price.

To qualify for any health guarantee claim, the buyer must notify Big Smoke Giant Maine Coons within two (2) business days of the veterinarian's diagnosis or certification.

The notification must include:

• Veterinarian's name
• Clinic address
• Phone number
• Written documentation of the diagnosis

Failure to provide notification within the required timeframe may result in forfeiture of guarantee rights.

Health guarantee laws vary by state. Buyers are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the laws governing pet sales in their state of residence.

Where state law provides protections that exceed the guarantees outlined here, applicable state law shall take precedence.

When offered, our Extended Genetic Health Guarantee provides additional protection against diseases or conditions that are conclusively proven through veterinary examination and testing to be of genetic origin.

This guarantee is subject to the following conditions:

• Proper veterinary documentation and test results must be provided before any compensation or remedy can be considered.
• The guarantee covers only verified hereditary or genetic conditions.
• Routine veterinary care, vaccinations, wellness visits, and preventive treatments are not covered.
• Injuries resulting from accidents, neglect, abuse, improper care, or owner negligence are not covered.
